Mimic Vat is a toolbox staple that converts the battlefield into a catalogue of backup threats. The vat sits on three colorless mana and waits for a nontoken creature to hit the graveyard. When that happens you may exile the creature and free up the vat to imprint another card already exiled there. The practical value is consistency. It stabilizes your board by recycling a key attacker or blocker into a repeatable token on demand.

Activate the vat with three colorless and a tap to create a token copy of a card exiled with it. That token gains haste and will be exiled at the next end step. Use it for a surprise finisher or to reanimate a creature with an enter the battlefield trigger that you want to replay. In singleton Commander this card pairs well with high impact creatures and sacrifice synergies and fits solidly into artifact focused shells that want late game redundancy rather than fragile combos.
