The artifact enters the battlefield and immediately gives you a white Gnome Soldier artifact creature token whose power and toughness scale with the number of artifacts and creatures you control. That makes it a reliable early body in go-wide strategies or artifact synergies while also serving as a target for buffs and removal bait.

Beyond the token, Thousand Moons Smithy grants a predictable transform window. At the beginning of your precombat main phase you may tap five untapped artifacts and or creatures you control to transform it. The card plays well in decks that can generate multiple small bodies or that can tap artifacts and creatures safely. Use it where incremental value matters and where transforming it becomes a strategic tempo play rather than a last resort.
