The Skullspore Nexus rewards board investment by shaving mana cost in direct relation to your heftiest creature. The Skullspore Nexus is a Legendary Artifact that turns attrition into advantage. In decks that flood the battlefield with large creatures the Nexus can fall into play for far less than its printed cost and immediately become a threat that scales with your team.

Beyond cost reduction the Nexus converts loss into bodies. When your nontoken creatures die you get green Fungus Dinosaur tokens whose power and toughness equal the total power of those creatures. A built in doubling ability gives a short burst to a chosen attacker or blocker for two mana and a tap. For players who run midrange or sacrifice synergies this card functions as a late game engine and as a reliable token generator that controls tempo without asking for complex setup.
