The Skullspore Nexus sits at the intersection of graveyard synergy and board development. The Skullspore Nexus reduces its casting cost by the highest power among creatures you control, making it a late game catch up or an early game cheat when you already field a sizable threat. Once in play the artifact turns creature loss into tempo as every time one or more nontoken creatures you control die you create a green Fungus Dinosaur token whose base power and toughness each equal the total power of those creatures.
As a toolbox piece for midrange and aristocrat style decks the Nexus rewards careful sequencing and sacrifice lines. The activated ability that doubles a creature s power until end of turn gives you an option to convert the Fungus or another attacker into a lethal finisher. The Skullspore Nexus reads like a compact plan: lower the cost by presenting a big body, trade creatures to refill the board, then push damage with raw power where it matters.
