Tajic, Legion's Edge is a straightforward commander for aggressive or equipment heavy decks. The card grants immediate pressure with Haste and scales with combat through Mentor. Its static protection prevents noncombat damage to your other creatures which keeps your board intact against sweepers that deal incidental damage. That makes Tajic useful in metagames where incidental burn or sacrifice effects show up between turns.

Beyond those basics you get a simple activated ability for first strike at the cost of one red and one white mana.
