Tajic, Legion's Edge is a compact commander of the Boros front line. With a casting cost of {1}{R}{W} he enters ready to strike thanks to haste and brings a mentor ability that incrementally strengthens smaller attackers. Tajic also prevents noncombat damage to your other creatures which shifts combat math in your favor and protects token armies from incidental burn spells and board wipes that deal noncombat damage.

Play him where tempo matters. Tajic turns early aggression into sustained pressure by adding a +1/+1 counter to an attacking creature with lesser power each time he attacks. His activated ability for {R}{W} grants first strike until end of turn which makes him both a threat and a protective anchor in combat calculations. As a legendary Human Soldier he slots naturally into Boros aggro or a mentor focused build in Limited and Commander formats.
