Spelunking is a compact tool for green decks that need immediate board presence and a steady draw. When Spelunking enters the battlefield you draw a card and may drop a land from your hand straight into play. That exchange keeps your hand active while accelerating your mana curve and can shift tempo on the turn it resolves.
There is an extra payoff against decks that let you find Caves. If the land you put in is a Cave you gain four life which matters in grindy matchups where a few points extend your reach. Lands you control enter untapped which makes this enchantment a clean play with tempo planning and helps execute follow up spells without delay.
