Set Sail With Pirate Hat
Pirate Hat is a compact piece of toolkit equipment that rewards aggression and timing. Pirate Hat costs {1}{U} to cast and grants the equipped creature +1/+1 and the triggered ability that reads whenever this creature attacks, draw a card, then discard a card. That trade off fits into tempo oriented blue builds where looting on attack smooths draws and fuels graveyard synergies. Use the low equip cost called Equip Pirate to move the hat quickly onto a key attacker or pay the standard equip to make a more deliberate play.
The design is straightforward and practical for commander and limited play. Pirate Hat is best when paired with evasive creatures or attackers that generate value on combat. In games that require incremental advantage the hat turns each successful swing into a selection play. There is a small touch of Ixalan lore here as well since sea rovers prize odd trinkets that sharpen instincts as much as they decorate a captain.
