Hot Pursuit: Turn the Tables with Goaded Targets
Hot Pursuit is a compact red enchantment that forces interaction from the moment it hits the battlefield. When Hot Pursuit enters the battlefield, suspect target creature an opponent controls. As long as Hot Pursuit remains on the battlefield, that creature is also goaded. That first clause sets up predictable attacks and predictable blocks which can be leveraged by sacrifice triggers and damage amplifiers in midrange and aggro shells.
The payoff reads like a late game reversal. At the beginning of combat on your turn, if two or more players have lost the game, gain control of all goaded and or suspected creatures until end of turn. Untap them. They gain haste until end of turn. This card plays well in pods that trade resources early and in multiplayer tables where attrition creates chances to seize the board. The extended art makes it a neat focal point for a red commander deck that wants to convert chaos into a decisive swing.
