Silent Sentinel of the House
Dimir House Guard is a pragmatic inclusion for control and graveyard synergies. The card reads like a small engine for recursion and threat maintenance: a 2/3 Skeleton that carries Fear and a reliable regenerate effect when you sacrifice a creature. In play the Guard performs two roles. It blocks the ground of opponents that lack black or artifact bodies, and it converts expendable creatures into staying power so the board does not collapse after a sweep.
Its Transmute ability opens strategic options during deck construction and late game tutoring. Discarding the Guard to find another card with the same mana value is useful in toolbox builds and in mirror matches where access to a specific answer matters. For a Ravnica Remastered list the card slots well in decks that trade tempo for inevitability and that can use small creatures as fuel without losing board presence.
