Vines that Bite Back
Cindervines is a compact tool for tempo and removal. As an enchantment with a simple trigger, Cindervines punishes opposing noncreature spells and puts a steady tax on control and combo decks. The retro frame art shows molten, thorned vines lashing across a Ravnica alley. That image matches how the card functions in play by punishing spells early and giving you a cheap way to answer problematic artifacts and enchantments.
Use Cindervines when you need incremental advantage and a removal outlet built into a threat. The one damage trigger is insignificant by itself but scales in matchups where opponents cast many noncreature spells. When the board requires a clean answer, pay mana and sacrifice Cindervines to destroy an artifact or enchantment while also dealing direct damage to that permanent's controller. It is efficient, predictable, and fits into aggressive and midrange shells that value pressure and targeted removal.
