Black Market Connections
Black Market Connections is a compact engine that asks you to trade life for tempo and card advantage. The precombat timing gives you an early selection each turn and the choose one or more structure makes each activation flexible. You will use the Treasure route when you need ramp and the draw option when you need answers. The shapeshifter token is a surprise finisher in creature light decks and plays well with tribe synergies thanks to changeling.
Play it in a midrange or aristocrat style list where incremental value matters. The life payments are linear and predictable so you can plan turns two through five around which option to take. It reads like a resource node that scales with the game rather than a single use spell and rewards steady plays more than flashy bursts.
