Vanishing Act
Unexplained Absence is a compact removal instant that fits cleanly into control builds and political tables. Casting it for {3}{W} lets you exile up to one nonland permanent from each player. The extended art frames the silhouette of the vanished while the rules text rewards timing and planning. Use it to strip opposing threats or to temporarily deny a key combo piece across the table.
In a Karlov Manor game the effect doubles as a tool for table manipulation. Each permanent exiled this way causes that permanent's controller to cloak the top card of their library which can disrupt draws or hide upcoming answers. The card is practical in one shot plays and scales with the number of opponents, making it useful in multiplayer metagames where a single well timed instant can swing momentum.
