The Key to the Vault
The Key to the Vault rewards disciplined aggression. Cast for {1}{U} and attach it to a creature with Equip {2}{U}. Whenever the equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, you look at that many cards from the top of your library, exile one nonland card among them and put the rest on the bottom in a random order. You may then cast the exiled card without paying its mana cost. This turns each successful strike into card advantage and the chance to resolve a free spell that can pivot the game state.
In practice the Key to the Vault favors evasive attackers and decks that can reliably connect. It pairs well with creatures that have evasion or repeated strike potential so the triggered digs stack into meaningful currency. From a lore angle it feels like a lockpick crafted by outlaw artificers who prize secrets over coin; every hit is a glimpse behind a vault door. Play it when you can protect the equipped attacker and turn each combat window into resource generation.
