Jewel of Hidden Currents
The Enigma Jewel is a compact workhorse for blue control decks that like to build incremental advantage and then turn it into a late game payoff. The Enigma Jewel enters the battlefield tapped and taps for two colorless mana that may only be spent to activate abilities. That makes it a tidy accelerator for utility engines and for fueling activated effects on artifacts creatures and planeswalkers without accelerating your opponent with fast mana.
Its craft clause rewards strategic board building. With eight mana and four or more nonland permanents that have activated abilities you can exile The Enigma Jewel along with those permanents or matching cards in graveyards to return it transformed. In practice this card supports decks that plan around many small activated sources so the Jewel becomes a late game toolbox rather than a simple ramp piece. The Enigma Jewel fits well in control shells that want repeatable ability fuel and a clear pathway to a game ender.
