Strix Serenade

Strix Serenade is a concise blue instant from Modern Horizons 3 that fits into control shells. Counter target artifact, creature, or planeswalker spell; its controller creates a 2/2 blue Bird creature token with flying. That combination buys you tempo by denying a key play while you develop a board presence. The borderless print emphasizes a sharp, focused moment of magic on the battlefield.

Designed for players who value efficient answers, Strix Serenade shines in artifact-heavy matchups and against planeswalker engines. Timing is everything; you trade one spell for a ready-made threat, maintaining pressure without overextending. The card embodies MH3’s flavor of precise, practical counterplay that can shift the game state in a single instant.
