Grave Appetite
Starving Revenant is a practical tool for graveyard oriented black decks. The card arrives for {2}{B}{B} as a 4/4 Spirit Horror that immediately gives you card selection through surveil 2. The follow up clause that lets you draw for each card you put back on top of your library trades chunks of life for card advantage, which fits well into decks that convert life as a resource or that plan to drain and stabilize later in the game.
Its Descend ability has a steady payoff once the graveyard fills. With eight permanent cards there, each card draw becomes a small clock against an opponent while returning a little life to you. Use the Revenant to sculpt draws, trigger graveyard synergies, and turn incremental life loss into a consistent advantage in longer matches.
