The second ability makes sacrificing a Clue relevant to combat decisions. Sacrifice a token, open the board, and push damage through by making a blocker vanish for a turn. In Ravnica lore Senator Peacock reads petitions and papers in the vaults below the council chambers and uses those archives to manipulate both information and the flow of mana.
