Neriv, Crackling Vanguard — Strike From the Sky
Neriv, Crackling Vanguard is a tight addition to a Mardu commander suite that blends aerial reach with incremental card advantage. As a Legendary Creature Spirit Dragon, Neriv brings flying and deathtouch that protect the board while pressuring opponents. When Neriv enters, you immediately get two 1 1 red Goblin creature tokens which seed the battlefield with bodies that matter for your attack plan and token synergy.
On attack Neriv converts boards presence into card selection. Each attack lets you exile cards off the top of your library equal to the number of differently named tokens you control. Those exiled cards become playable during any turn when you attacked with your commander so Neriv fuels follow up turns and keeps your options open. Use the Goblins to grow the exile window, then deploy spells from exile to close out games.
