Neriv, Crackling Vanguard is a compact commander that brings flying and deathtouch while rewarding token diversity and aggression. The card name lands immediately in hand as a late game value engine. When Neriv enters the battlefield you get two 1 1 red Goblin creature tokens which help establish a token base and trigger any anthem or sacrifice synergies. The 4 4 body with flying and deathtouch makes blocks difficult for opponents and forces trades in combat.
The attack trigger is where Neriv really changes game state. When Neriv attacks you exile cards from the top of your library equal to the number of differently named tokens you control, then during any turn you attacked with a commander you may play those cards. That creates late game selection and lets a carefully built token suite let you convert attacks into card advantage and surprise plays.
