The card turns each non token creature you cast into an opportunity to investigate which can fuel clue generation and then be sacrificed for bigger plays. The secondary ability uses those clues as a currency to excavate value from an opponent deck by revealing the top X cards and potentially putting a nonland permanent with mana value X or less directly onto your battlefield.
