Master of Invention
Leonardo da Vinci is a compact engine in blue that rewards careful hand management and artifact synergy. Leonardo da Vinci costs {2}{U} and arrives as a 3/3 Legendary Creature Human Artificer that turns modest Thopter populations into lethal threats with a simple activation. For {3}{U} you set the base power and toughness of each Thopter you control to X by referencing the number of cards in your hand, a neat way to translate card advantage directly into board presence.
The second ability is where the card really pulls its weight in artifact and blink decks. For {2}{U} and tapping Leonardo you draw then discard, and if the discarded card is an artifact you exile it from your graveyard and make a token copy that is a 0/2 flying Thopter in addition to its other types. That loop lets you recycle costly artifacts, protect against graveyard hate, and spawn flyers to apply pressure. Practical, compact, and playable in artifact heavy builds or Commander shells that lean into card selection and sacrifice synergies.
