Each time Lazav attacks you exile a card from a graveyard and investigate, creating a Clue token to sacrifice later. That steady stream of clues feeds both card draw and the means to activate Lazav's signature mimicry.
When you sacrifice a Clue you may have Lazav become a copy of a creature card exiled with it until end of turn. That lets Lazav impersonate a late game threat while keeping its original identity on the battlefield. The card rewards careful graveyard planning and timing of Clue sacrifices.
