When it enters the battlefield it exiles a target nonland permanent an opponent controls until Lassoed by the Law leaves the battlefield, which offers a reversible removal option that pairs well with flicker and blink effects. The same trigger creates a 1/1 red Mercenary creature token that carries a tap ability to push a creature for one power for the turn, useful for finishing trades or pushing damage through in tight spots.
From a deck building view this card reads as flexible control with tempo upside. It buys time against large threats without permanently losing interaction and it gives a small repeatable reach via the Mercenary token.
