Kaito, Bane of Nightmares brings a patient menace to control shells that want evasive pressure and incremental advantage. As a legendary planeswalker the card doubles as a threat under your control during your turn whenever it holds loyalty. The Ninjutsu cost lets you deploy Kaito mid combat from hand to hit through an opening and reward evasive attacks, while the static morph into a 3/4 Ninja with hexproof turns a loyalty engine into a live blocker that resists targeted removal.
His loyalty suite is compact and practical. The plus ability creates a persistent buff emblem for your ninjas, the zero ability surveils and can refill hands based on which opponents lost life that turn, and the minus ability locks down a single blocker by tapping it and placing two stun counters.
