Rooted Deceit

Insidious Roots fits easily into midrange graveyard strategies that want steady value from token engines. As an enchantment that makes your creature tokens tap for any color of mana, it converts ephemeral bodies into sustained resources. The secondary trigger rewards graveyard interaction with a steady stream of 0 1 green Plant tokens and incremental growth for your existing Plants, a tidy loop for decks that flicker, sacrifice, or reanimate creatures.

From a lore perspective the card reads like a pact with the manor grounds. The roots provide choice mana and recruit when the dead return to the soil. In play the card is practical and predictable. It smooths curves, enables splashy plays and compounds midgame advantages without asking for a complex setup.
