Insidious Roots: Verdant Schemes
Insidious Roots rewards decks that trade permanence for incremental advantage. As an enchantment for {B}{G}, it turns your creature tokens into mana producers by giving them the ability to tap for one mana of any color. That change alters how you sequence turns. Tokens that once existed only for chump blocking or sacrifice can now fuel a late game spell or accelerate an additional play on the same turn.
The second ability leverages graveyard interaction common to Karlov Manor builds. When one or more creature cards leave your graveyard you make a 0/1 green Plant token and then put a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control. Over time that snowballs into a board of resilient threats that also double as mana sources. Use this with self-mill, reanimation outlets, or token generators to convert transient value into a steady resource and a growing board presence.
