Hour of Promise is a straightforward land tutor that delivers tempo and board development in one cast. Cast for {4}{G}, it lets you search your library for up to two land cards and put them onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle. That raw consistency pairs well with landfall synergies and decks that want to accelerate to key utility lands without gambling on topdecks.
There is a small bonus that matters in match play. If you control three or more Deserts when Hour of Promise resolves, you also create two 2/2 black Zombie creature tokens. The extra bodies are situational but can close out games or provide blockers to protect a newly dropped planeswalker. From the perspective of a Commander pilot, this card rewards planning your manabase and sequencing plays around the Outlaws of Thunder Junction desert theme.
