Forensic Gadgeteer is a practical inclusion for artifact focused blue decks from Murders at Karlov Manor. It trades for a modest three mana investment and immediately rewards you when you cast an artifact spell by creating a Clue token via investigate. That recurring value meshes well with engines that sacrifice artifacts for card advantage or that care about having multiple artifacts in play.
The second ability makes activated abilities of your artifacts cheaper to use which helps smooth sequences that rely on repeated activation. In draft or constructed play this card supports tempo plays and long term resource generation. The card reads as printed and plays cleanly into artifact synergy strategies while adding a small dash of Vedalken curiosity to the board state.
