Dogged Detective is a compact graveyard toolbox that keeps pressure in tight games. The body is efficient with two power and one toughness for one and a black. On entry you surveil two which lets you sculpt the top of your deck and stock the graveyard for later plays. The printed trigger lines up well with small sacrifice synergies and cards that value a stocked graveyard.

The real utility shows when opponents refuel. Whenever an opponent draws their second card each turn you may return Dogged Detective from your graveyard to your hand. That loop makes it a persistent threat in multiplayer pods where card draw is common. Play it early for value and expect it to pay off as the game progresses.
