Deadly Cover-Up: Collect the Evidence
Deadly Cover-Up is a practical finisher in a control or midrange black deck from Murders at Karlov Manor. Cast for {3}{B}{B}, it forces a board reset by destroying all creatures and offers a built in way to punish opponents who lose graveside resources. The optional collect evidence six cost makes the spell worse to cast more often than not but also turns a sweep into targeted exile effects that can lock out reanimation lines and deny key answers.
Use this card when you need a clear board and a surgical follow up. If evidence was collected the spell lets you exile a card from an opponent's graveyard then find copies in that player’s graveyard hand and library and exile them as well. That exchange of resources fits the set’s investigative tone. Players familiar with Karlov Manor will recognize how the exile clause interrupts recursive threats while the draw compensation softens the blow to the opponent so the game remains playable after resolution.

Card Text / Rules Text (Printed) – As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may collect evidence 6. Destroy all creatures. If evidence was collected, exile a card from an opponent’s graveyard. Then search its owner’s graveyard hand and library for any number of cards with that name and exile them. That player shuffles then draws a card for each card exiled from their hand this way.
