Contested Game Ball nudges the risk reward axis in any deck that expects to take hits. Contested Game Ball is a simple artifact with a recurring cost and a payoff that mixes card advantage with board economy. When an opponent connects, they gain control of the ball and untap it. That interaction forces decisions about attack timing and who benefits from your draws.

The secondary ability fuels both draw and value engines. Pay two and tap Contested Game Ball to draw a card and add a point counter. On the fifth point the ball is sacrificed and a Treasure appears. Use this to refill your hand while converting a liability into mana. Contested Game Ball plays well with damage redirection, stealth attackers, and effects that punish opponents for controlling artifacts.
