Clandestine Meddler
Clandestine Meddler is a compact aggression engine that fits cleanly into a black aggro or sacrifice shell. The 3 2 body comes down for {2}{B} and immediately creates a threat profile by suspecting another creature you control. This gives that creature menace and prevents it from being blocked, which forces through damage and opens up combat windows that otherwise would not exist. The suspect mechanic pairs well with evasive attackers and creatures that trigger on attacking.
Its second line rewards you for committing suspected creatures to combat. Whenever one or more suspected creatures you control attack, you surveil 1. That small selection helps sculpt your draws and fuel graveyard synergies common to the Karlov Manor environment. In lore terms the Meddler slips into a household and nudges the scene toward revelation. In play it nudges your draws toward answers and threats.
