Caustic Bronco: Saddle Up and Peek
Caustic Bronco is a compact attacker that turns each strike into card advantage or a draining tempo play. Casting for {1}{B} gets you a 2/2 Snake Horse Mount that forces you to reveal the top card of your library when it attacks and puts that card into your hand. If the mount is not saddled you pay life equal to the card's mana value. If it is saddled each opponent takes that amount instead. That choice creates tight decision points midcombat and blends hand growth with a potential life swing.
The Saddle 3 ability reads like a tactical on demand effect. Tap other creatures with combined power of at least three to saddle the mount for the turn and turn a modest attacker into a source of political or direct damage. In limited and casual builds this card excels as a tempo piece that pressures life totals while digging for answers. The foil light play copy shown here is a playable rare from Outlaws of Thunder Junction and fits well in aristocratic black decks and aggressive midrange shells that can reliably muster the saddle cost.
