Burden of Proof — Quiet Authority
Burden of Proof fits neatly into any blue build that leans on Investigate synergies and creature control. The aura grants a meaningful stat upgrade when your board shows a Detective. When that condition is not met the enchanted creature becomes a small, constrained body and cannot block Detectives. Play the card with flash to apply pressure on blockers or to turn a surprise chump into a risk for your opponent to trade into.
The card reads like a plot device from Karlov Manor. It rewards setup and timing rather than raw tempo. Use it around token generators and Detective tutors to flip its value. The foil near mint finish adds collector appeal and makes the piece pop in drafts or Commander decks that enjoy political plays and subtle interaction.
