Burden of Proof is a compact tool for blue decks that value inline interaction and battlefield utility. This aura arrives with flash, letting you shift tempo or respond to a removal spell while preserving a creature. When attached to a Detective you control it turns that creature into a meaningful threat with a straightforward power boost plus 2 plus 2. If the target is not a Detective the enchantment imposes a limiting fallback. That makes the card behave predictably in draft and limited alongside Detective synergies but still relevant as a tempo play.
The card fits the Murders at Karlov Manor motif by reinforcing the Detective archetype without overcomplicating lines. Use it to protect a key blocker or to surprise-block a lethal attack in combat.
