Twilight Prophet is a tight, efficient finisher for any black commander shell that wants card advantage and a late game clock. For three mana and two black, you get a flying Vampire Cleric that can secure the citys blessing and turn routine draws into lethal drains. The card rewards patient board development; once you meet the ascend condition the upkeep trigger both refills your hand and scales damage to opponents based on the revealed card's mana value.
Play this in grindy metas where incremental advantage wins. The flying body stalls while the upkeep trigger accelerates your reach and replenishes your resources. In multiplayer pods the life swing pressures multiple opponents at once and makes removal a high priority; keep that in mind when building around this mythic from Commander The Lost Caverns of Ixalan.
