Timothar's Night Court
Timothar, Baron of Bats reads like a compact engine for any Vampire focused deck. As a four four commander who taxes opponents with Ward that forces a discard play, he also turns dying nontoken Vampires into repeatable threats. The ability to pay one to exile a dying creature and get a one one Bat with flying trades board presence for a delayed return, so timing and sequencing matter when you build around him.
Play him when you want a steady stream of evasive damage and controlled recursion. The Bat token's triggered clause returns the exiled creature tapped after dealing damage, which opens lines for lethal swings or value plays with death triggers. In lore terms he keeps the clan intact by turning loss into a temporary envoy. Practical players will pair him with sacrifice outlets and damage mitigation to maximize the sacrifice and return loop.
