Thrown Spur
Throw from the Saddle reads like a compact combat trick for decks that want to convert tempo into board removal. The sorcery gives a target creature you control +1/+1 until end of turn and has extra utility if your creature is a Mount by placing a permanent +1/+1 counter instead. The artwork shows a rider tumbling from a rearing mount in a cactus studded plain which frames the card as a moment where aggression becomes a payoff that can trade up in combat.
In play Throw from the Saddle functions as a pump and a removal conduit. Use it to push a creature through a blocker or to force a removal trade by making the pumped creature deal damage equal to its power to a target creature you do not control. The card fits cleanly into aggressive green shells and creature based strategies in Outlaws of Thunder Junction and reads well alongside riders, mounts and any plan that prizes incremental growth.
