Whip for Reach and Discovery
Swashbuckler's Whip is a compact piece of equipment that turns a low cost body into a utility tool. For a single colorless mana you get reach for blocking flyers plus two activated options that give you tempo and card advantage. The first ability lets the equipped creature tap a threat or artifact for two mana and a tap. The second ability is a deep discover engine for eight mana and a tap that can find a high impact permanent or a spell with mana value ten or less.
Play it early, attach it with its one equip cost and use the tap ability to neutralize key attackers or artifacts while you develop. If the game goes long you can bank the whip as a late game tutor that can generate a swing turn. Swashbuckler's Whip sits well in artifact centric decks and control shells where reach and selective access to top end answers matter. Practical, efficient, and straightforward to build around in Lost Caverns of Ixalan themed lists.
