Spined Tyrranax: Push the Stampede
Spined Tyrranax is a solid midrange finisher that rewards an aggressive posture and smart resource timing. The card reads cleanly and does work in limited and casual constructed shells. For five mana you get a 5 5 body that can invest two more mana at the start of combat to put a +1 +1 counter on a creature and grant it trample for the turn, which turns small attacks into meaningful breaches and lets your backup creatures punch through blockers when it matters.
Play reads are straightforward. You can curve into the Tyrranax and then use the activation the turn you are ready to push through damage or protect a key attacker from chump blockers. The dinosaur theme lines up with creatures that want counters and trample, so it fits well in decks that already plan to grow threats. The art and flavor text remind you that this is a creature meant to be driven into conflict and left to finish the job.
