Smoke Bomb is a compact piece of toolkit for decks that value tempo and evasive plays. The artifact’s Flash lets you deploy it in response to combat or just before blockers are declared so you can deny targeting. While it sits on the battlefield its printed effect grants every creature shroud which can protect your board state from targeted removal and set up favorable blocks or trades. Be mindful of the upkeep clause. At the beginning of your upkeep you must sacrifice Smoke Bomb and when you do you get a single, precise payout: a creature you control cannot be blocked this turn. That timing rewards disciplined sequencing and pairs cleanly with elves that generate attackers, creatures that care about connecting, and instant speed evasive tricks. If you play tight and plan your triggers, Smoke Bomb turns a temporary defense into a guaranteed attack.
