Showstopping Surprise is a compact red instant that converts a single board presence into an area clearing threat. Cast for {3}{R}{R}, it targets a creature you control then turns that creature face up if it is face down and immediately has that creature deal damage equal to its power to every other creature. The result is efficient mass removal from a body you are already invested in and it reads cleanly in both aggro and midrange lists.
