Selective Obliteration is a color aware board wipe that fits into color heavy strategies in Commander. Casting for {3}{W}{W}, each player picks a color, then exile each permanent unless it’s colorless or it’s only the color its controller chose. This isn’t a pure removal spell; it forces color identity decisions at the table and can shift the balance by thinning out mismatched threats.
Used at the right moment, it buys time for your colors to stabilize while pruning the board toward a defined identity. The ripple foil finish adds a tactile premium that matches its strategic heft. In Modern Horizons 3 this card slots into decks that prize color control and resilient permanents that survive a color lock; the result is a measured path toward a predictable late game rather than a sprint to empty the battlefield.
