Mutated Cultist is a rare Eldrazi Horror that lands as a colorless threat thanks to Devoid. For {2}{B} you get a 1/3 creature with Devoid and Deathtouch, a compact combatant that can trade with small creatures or pressure larger blockers. When you cast this spell, remove all counters from up to one target permanent or opponent, and the next spell you cast this turn costs 1 less to cast for each counter removed this way.
Its flavor text hints at Emrakul’s lingering influence from inhuman minds, a detail that grounds the card in the broader lore of the set. In practical terms Mutated Cultist rewards careful sequencing; use the counter removal to drive a discounted follow up spell and keep pressure on your opponent while you develop your board.
