Molten Gatekeeper is a compact red threat designed for Modern Horizons 3. For {2}{R} you get a 2/3 artifact creature that punishes the board whenever you bring a new creature into play. Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, Molten Gatekeeper deals 1 damage to each opponent. The trigger plays well with token swarms and other cheap creatures, helping you pressure quickly without overloading your curve.
Unearth {R} gives you a one time revival from the graveyard. Return this card to the battlefield, it gains haste, and exile it at the beginning of the next end step or if it would leave the battlefield. Unearth only as a sorcery. In the lore of Modern Horizons 3, molten guardians are forged in the heart of a sleeping volcano, and this Gatekeeper carries that temper for a fleeting moment on the battlefield. Use it to reestablish pressure after a sweep or to surprise your opponent with a rapid re-entry.
