Master the Spark

Mizzix's Mastery is a compact engine for graveyard based spell decks that rewards careful pile building and timing. Cast for {3}{R} to exile a single instant or sorcery from your graveyard, then copy it and cast that copy without paying its mana cost, after which Mizzix's Mastery is exiled. The printed text makes the interaction explicit which keeps rulings straightforward in play and lets you recover a key removal spell or a value engine from your own yard.

The overload cost {5}{R}{R}{R} converts this sorcery into a one turn cascade of copied spells by changing target to each. Use overload when you can resolve it cleanly and when your yard contains several low cost instants or sorceries. In limited or commander environments it excels as a finisher. Play it when you can leverage multiple cards at once or when a single recycled burn spell seals the game.
