Lord of the Void: Abyssal Recruiter

Lord of the Void is a straightforward engine piece for black midrange and reanimator strategies. The card reads cleanly: for {4}{B}{B}{B} you get a 7/7 flying Demon that converts combat damage into card advantage by exiling the top seven cards of a damaged player and dragging a creature out of the exile pile onto your battlefield. That sequence turns damage into a potential immediate threat, and it rewards aggressive clocking while threatening large swings in board presence.

In Ravnica Remastered play the card as both a finisher and a disruption tool. It pressures opponents to answer the Demon before it connects while creating risk for decks that rely on thin libraries or key creatures. The retro frame art emphasizes the Demon as a prowling force of the void and fits well into graveyard and exile focused decks. Experienced pilots will note its synergy with sac outlets and tutoring effects that can convert the exile trigger into consistent value.
