Kutzil's Flanker brings tactical timing to the table. This Cat Warrior from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan has Flash so it can appear at instant speed and punish overcommitment or shore up a surprise block. When it enters the battlefield you choose one of three targeted outcomes, which makes it flexible whether you need to recover board presence, shore up life totals, or disrupt an opponent plan.
Use Kutzil's Flanker to capitalize on creatures that have left the battlefield this turn and convert those departures into a beefy attacker. The scry and life gain option buys you a safer follow up. Exiling an opponent graveyard is situational but can be decisive against reanimator or flashback builds. Experienced players will slot this into midrange white lists that value reaction plays and closure in the late turns.
