Karn Returns

Karn, the Great Creator is a compact toolkit that shifts artifact matchups and retools board states with clinical precision. This Near Mint Foil from Ravnica Remastered presents Karn as a five loyalty planeswalker for {4} who locks down opponent artifact engines and turns inert pieces into attackers when you need pressure. The printed static effect prevents opponents from activating artifact abilities so Karn often reads like an answer and a threat at once.

Play Karn to neutralize combos and to tutor artifacts into your hand from outside the game or from exile to close games or shore up threats. The +1 can convert a single non creature artifact into an artifact creature whose power and toughness equal its mana value until your next turn. The -2 lets you reveal an artifact you own from outside the game or choose a face up artifact you own in exile and put that card into your hand. With five starting loyalty Karn fits into control shells and toolbox lists where artifact answers matter and a steady source of value wins long races.
